This year our club will once
again hold our show in our beautiful Fairfield
Arts and Convention Center.
We
plan to celebrate it with the theme "Like
a Pirate's Treasure."
Come celebrate with us.
We plan to have 11 dealers at our show where visitors will be able to purchase minerals, slabs, geodes, fossils, jewelry, gemstones, carvings, specimens, faceting rough, lapidary equipment & rock polishing supplies, silversmithing supplies, demonstrations, lectures and much more. We have an outstanding book area that offers lots of hard to find books and materials on geology, the lapidary hobby, collecting minerals, outdoor activities in Iowa and for children's education in these things.
We will have a special room for kids creative activities. The 'Ol Glory Hole Mine will return better than ever providing you a place to search for your own treasures and goodies (kids love it, adults too). Once more the SAC & FOX GOLD CREEK MINE will be in operation where you can pan for your own treasures just like you were panning for gold. The Spinning Wheel will be there where you always win something and if you can name the rock you get one free spin. And there will be great lunch and snack food available at our concession stand.
Of course, there will be a silent auction of a wide variety of materials that runs continuously throughout the show. Door prizes are drawn and posted regularly and you check the board all day long to see if you won one of the prizes. Our two grand prizes are high quality and valuable items often worth a number of dollars. You must register to be eligible for this drawing but it is not necessary to be present. We'll contact you if you won one. Winners for these grand prizes are drawn at the end of the show.
