Troy Beck is the son of Roger & Sue Beck. While in high school, Troy participated in football, basketball, track and baseball. He is a member of National Honor Society and Prairie Livestock 4-H Club. Troy also works at Fareway. His future plans include attending UNI and majoring in actuarial science.
Austin Freiburger is a senior at West Delaware. He is the son of Lou & Vicki Freiburger, and Tina & Jeff Knutson. He plans to major in engineering this fall at Iowa State University.
Casey Freiburger, son of Lou & Vicki Freiburger, and Tina & Jeff Knutson, is a senior at West Delaware. He plans to attend the University of Iowa with an undecided major.
Nathan Frick is the son of Tom & Julie. He is graduating from West Delaware High School. Nate’s future plans include attending Iowa State University for engineering.
Jackie Moorman will graduate from West Delaware. Her parents are Jan & Georgia Moorman. Jackie’s plans after graduation include studying at Kirkwood Community College and transferring to the University of Iowa, majoring in finance.
Levon Smith is a graduate of West Delaware High School. He is the son of Theresa Burns, the late Steve Burns, and Matthew Smith. After high school Levon will be attending Northeast Iowa Community College for Diesel Mechanics. While going to college he will continue to work at Hutchison Tranportation as a mechanic. Levon has been on the academic honor roll for all four years of high school.
Megan Caroline Thomas is the daughter of Bill & Laura. While in High School Megan participated in athletics, spring plays, yearbook staff, speech, FBLA and Color Guard. Megan also helped teach Sunday School at First Lutheran, participated as a youth representative on Church Council and has served as a confirmation mentor. Megan plans to continue her education at Iowa State University and major in Industrial Design.
Kathryn (K.D.) Wheeler, a senior at West Delaware, is the daughter of Kendy & Dean Hogan, Manchester, and Chad & Audrey Wheeler of Cedar Rapids. During high school she was active in cheerleading, bowling, wrestling stats, choir and softball. Her future activities include attending Mount Mercy College to major in secondary education (mathematics) where she received a scholarship to bowl for the Lady Mustangs.
Mitchell Zehr, son of Ed & Wendy, is graduating from West Delaware High School. His plans for the future include attending Wartburg College and majoring in music performance or French.
First Lutheran Church would like to congratulate all of our 2011 graduating high school seniors. We commend them on all of their accomplishments and also wish them the best of luck in all their future endeavors.
