The October 18,
2010 Circles of Faith meeting was called to order by Connie Kepros.
She led the group in prayer. Officers
present: Connie Kepros, Terry
Duerre, Pat Pinter. Absent:
Stephanie Turnbull The minutes of the
August 16, 2010 meeting were read. There
were no additions or corrections. Suzanne
Ollendick made a motion to approve the minutes as read, seconded by Evelyn
Andresen. Motion carried. The Treasurer’s
report was read. The balance
in the account as of September 30, 2010 was $8,623.27.
Rose Ann Valvoda made a motion to approve the Treasurer’s report,
seconded by Bootie Kapler. Motion
carried. Old Business: Chair Project:
100 chairs were purchased for the church hall.
Delivery is expected this week.
The chairs were partially paid for with donations received.
The Circles of Faith will pay the balance. New Business: Agnes Bohr reported
for the sewing circle. Diapers
are being sewn for the layettes --
if anyone would like a pattern and help with the sewing, please let Agnes
know. The The October Dinner is
scheduled for October 21, 2010. The
Fall Harvest Project is a dues/donation project this year.
Letters have been sent to Circle members. Tuesday night Bingo
has been going well. Bootie Kapler will
check on the progress of getting the piano tuned and report at the next
meeting. Guidelines for Circle
Chairpersons were reviewed. Some
additional suggestions include using regular plates as much as possible
and remember to let the president know if anything is running low in the
cupboard or storage area. Bootie
Kapler will check on silverware quantities. Connie Frana reported
that there are some opportunities to advertise on the back of the
bulletin. If interested,
please call the parish office. Ads
are $150 per year and there are 750 bulletins printed weekly. The group discussed
making a donation to the Pam McAllister benefit.
Suzanne Ollendieck made a motion to donate a quilt, seconded by
Rose Ann Valvoda. Motion
carried. The next funeral
committee is #7, Saturday #2.
Special Committee #1 will host the next event. The
next meeting is December 13, 2010 with a potluck meal at 6:00 p.m. Terry Duerre made a
motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Marlene Cummings.
